As the Account Manager you will be responsible for the overall success of a portfolio of ERP projects, including time and resource management, financial planning, scope management, issue and risk management, and project execution. The Account Manager works with the Project Management to plan, direct, and monitor the work produced by the team(s), to include planning and implementing appropriate quality assurance activities. He or she is responsible for managing client relationships, including general, ongoing communications, identifying changes in scope and schedule changes, key risks, issue resolution, and ongoing progress reporting. He or she is responsible for the development and presentation of steering committee briefings to both client and internal executives and the development and facilitation of the key Transition Management deliverables across all levels of client management.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Account Manager shapes client expectations and manages contracts and scope related to the project with overall responsibility for both client and member satisfaction.
The Account Manager must have a strong client facing presence. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, the Account Manager assists with business development efforts by providing the business capture teams with work plan review and input, staffing strategy, implementation methodologies, and participates in oral presentations for prospective clients. Securing add-on work is the responsibility of the Account Manager.
The Account Manager must have a broad knowledge of industry best practices, embodied in PMIs Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and be able to proactively identify potential project risks in order to advise and consult with clients on risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies. He or she must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant State and Local Government ERP project management experience, have managed scope of work including a minimum of 15+ resources and managed $5+ million in ERP implementation projects.

Ability to recognize the client culture and effectively manage the project within that culture.
Handle the pressures of simultaneous tasks, issues, problems, and ambiguity.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
