Position Description:

CGI is currently hiring a Core Java Developer with experience in the frameworks like Struts, Spring MVC, and Hibernate, to join our technology center in Columbia, SC. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to participate in one of the largest technology replacements in history. We’re offering a complete benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, etc.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 7yrs+ IT Industry experience

  • Java experience should be large scale and enterprise level

  • Minimum of 2yrs – 3yrs experience with either Struts or Spring MVC, and Hibernate

  • Experience with AngularJS or other front-end web application framework preferred

  • Experience creating and consuming both SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services preferred

  • Strong working experience with core Java APIs

  • Experience with configuring and deploying software on WebLogic and/or JBOSS

  • Past Experience working on Production Support team preferred

  • Experience in Oracle from a Java development standpoint

  • Ability to write and schedule batch or standalone jobs

  • Experience in Unix scripting

  • Good communication skills

  • Experience with AutoSys is a definite plus, though not required

Education Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

Post graduate degree desired
