Position Description:

The Project Architect/Integration Lead is responsible for designing and implementing future phases on a new $3M+ software technical upgrade and integration project. The project is completing a technical upgrade of the Oracle Network Management System (NMS) application and integrating the NMS with numerous other software applications, including SAP’s Work and Asset Management, the customer information system, enterprise data warehouse, and others. Summary of Responsibilities: Hands-on leadership position delivering a solution that leverages vendor products as well as enterprise tools to manage electric outages. The NMS application integrates with over a dozen other systems and is the source of record for regulatory reporting on electric outage management effectiveness.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Detailed design, configuration, and development of integration software and data management processes. Monitoring vendor software configuration, integration development, data management, and vendor technical activities. Collaboration with the project manager, business users, business SMEs, application technical analysts, and enterprise architects as is necessary. This position is ultimately responsible for the overall solution architecture design and successful implementation of the solution into production. These tasks include: Create detail level design for custom software integration solutions. Develop artifacts to be used in downstream Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phases. Setup of test, development and production environments. Coordinate software installation and configuration. Provide leadership to in house and vendor technical resources, working with PM on suggested work assignments and leading team from design to solution. Serve as liaison to other teams involved in project, coordinating integration work. Work with Test Lead to coordinate environments and help coordinate technical resources to support testing activities. Work closely with PM, providing status updates on risks, issues and tasks completions. Coordinate technical aspects of deployment, including hardware installation, environment setup, production certification, and software deployment. Coordinate peer review and Software Configuration Management activities. Work with software vendors as needed to coordinate software deliveries, provide detailed information on bugs, etc.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Minimum 10 years experience creating high level design and solution architectures. Documented experience managing large, custom software development projects including GUI, database, and historical reporting. Documented experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements, planning, high level and detailed design, execution, testing and defect remediation, and implementation. Experience working in the utility industry preferred. Proven experience in functional and technical architecture, design and development, testing, and system integration. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience developing solutions from Business driven requirements. Experience working within the utility industry. Familiarity with Electric outage management a plus. Familiarity with work management systems a plus. This position requires excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
