Position Description:

The U.S. Digital Communications Lead supports a range of digital communications activities focused on the growth of CGI’s U.S. business. You will work with U.S. and global communications team colleagues as well as business unit and indirect support teams to strategize and create content and be the primary team member responsible for executing digital communications activities that help raise awareness of and preference for CGI. This position also serves as the U.S. Digital Lead within a larger global team of digital experts who regularly collaborate.

This position supports the strategic evolution of CGI’s digital channels and will be primarily responsible for the creation and publishing of content. Content creation and posting will include social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+), cgi.com, email marketing and paid placements on industry sites, Google AdWords, LinkedIn Sponsored Content, etc. As such, you will be accountable for the writing and editing of social posts, web pages, blogs, infographics, e-mail marketing, and other collateral and communications such as presentations and videos. This position will also assist in managing U.S. content on cgi.com, which is currently undergoing a complete UI/UX transformation to serve as a best-in-class site in attracting clients, prospects, candidates and influencers.

You will be on the ground floor of helping to build and expand CGI’s digital presence on social media in the U.S. and, as such, we are seeking a candidate with vision and passion for digital strategy. You will serve as a coach and mentor to internal colleagues and senior leaders alike on how to leverage digital channels, such as social media, to reach key stakeholders and build brand awareness. With CGI’s extensive presence across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, you will have the opportunity to interact regularly with global colleagues and digital experts in other countries to generate ideas and share best practices.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand business objectives to develop content and recommend digital communications options that advance business goals and align with the CGI brand

• Support the promotion of global and local offerings, events, campaigns, thought leadership and subject matter experts through development of compelling content and expert use of digital channels

• Monitor U.S.-based channels to ensure CGI’s brand is well protected and promoted; collaborate with global and U.S.-level media team as required

• Work in collaboration with global/U.S. communications and digital teams to support the management and strategic evolution of CGI’s digital channels, including social media and cgi.com

• Identify content and digital best practices, programs and initiatives based on industry, market, competitive and trend analysis, and share best practices across global and U.S. teams

• Lead U.S. needs for digital channel monitoring, analysis and reporting, in collaboration with global team

• Foster the creation of and help evolve social media presence (ex. LinkedIn) for U.S. senior

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years professional work experience

• Demonstrated experience in writing and editing for various media, including social media, blogs, infographics, newsletters, email marketing, web pages, presentations and videos

• Ability to edit (including self-editing) and proofread

• Understanding of the information services technology sector and digital best practices

• Excellent verbal communications skills and presence to represent the communications function internally and the company externally to vendors or partners, as needed

• Self-starter who is creative and flexible with experience working in a highly-dynamic environment

• Excellent organizational skills

• Good sense of basic design principles for presentations and other publications

• Ability to manage numerous activities while maintaining attention to detail and positive relationships

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

• Available to work full-time in CGI’s office to encourage collaboration with other teammates

Desired

• Familiarity with Photoshop, web publishing (Drupal) and web analytics (Google Analytics)

Demonstrated experience with paid and owned digital media strategies, such as search engine optimization, content marketing and social media campaign management, in support of integrated digital communications
