Position Description:

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal. We are seeking an Intelligence Specialist (Intelligence and Threat Support - Futures) to support operations in our Ft. Eustis, VA location.

Synopsis: The United States Army Training and Doctrine Command’s (TRADOC) Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2) is directly responsible for the development of the future Operational Environment, which supports Army and joint training, future capabilities, concepts and doctrine. Analysis for the future operational environment is informed by the intelligence community, academia, policy institutions, and allied and partner efforts. Efforts associated with the development and characterization of the future operational environment include; intelligence training, studying and publishing material regarding aspects of the future Operational Environment (OE), conducting detailed threat assessments of future adversaries, support to force design to support future Army efforts including futures concept development experimentation (CDE) and future scenarios, as well as advising TRADOC Commanders, staff and subordinates on all emerging issues, trends and threats that may affect the Operational Environment in the near, mid and far term.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Basic Functions: Serves primarily as an Intelligence Specialist within the Futures Directorate in support of the DCS G-2’s futures equities, and increasingly complex worldwide mission. Performs wide-ranging emerging and future geostrategic research and analysis and produces analytical products identifying trends in future geopolitics, global economics, technology, demographics conditions and other areas that inform TRADOC and the Army’s understanding of emerging and future conventional and asymmetric threats to U.S. interests and military forces worldwide. Serves as a TRADOC subject matter expert on select military, regional and transnational issues as assigned. Works independently in the conduct of futures analysis, planning, designing, development of threat products and identification of future implications, within assigned areas, but keeps supervisor informed of significant developments.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Conducts all-source intelligence analysis of emerging and future conventional and asymmetric threats to U.S. interests worldwide. Performs intelligence preparation battlefield and threat analysis of emerging and future adversaries and targeted trends and threats identified by TRADOC G-2. Serves as "Red" subject matter expert on emerging and future conventional and unconventional threats during inter-service and joint exercises. Participates in futures scenario development and game construct for Army Title 10 War games and experiments.

Represents the TRADOC G2. Consults and maintains liaison with relevant staff members at DA G-2, the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), and other national intelligence agencies, academia, policy institutes and allied and partnersand stays informed and up to date on current, emerging and futures trends and their implications--consistent with the vision of the TRADOC G-2.

Reviews all-source intelligence traffic daily, develops all source intelligence briefings, fact sheets, professional articles, white papers, and other products as directed. Participates as a futures subject matter expert, representing TRADOC and the Army in meetings and seminars that develop future doctrinal, organizational, training and materiel solutions for the Army and joint forces. Advises and assists the HQ TRADOC Staff in the interpretation of meaning and potential impact of intelligence and threat data on TRADOC Commanders Critical Intelligence requirements, future concepts and doctrine, and emerging and future combat developments, training and other activities.

In times of crisis (or related training), may serve as an intel representative in the TRADOC emergency operations center (EOC) provides daily, current intelligence updates and analysis on threats to TRADOC or TRADOC installations.

Position requires TDY travel within and outside the commuting area up to 25% of the time.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Former military analyst with extensive and diverse military intelligence and futures experience preferred.

• Working understanding of the US Intelligence Community.

• Must possess strong communications skills to include sound writing and briefing skills, skilled in on-line intelligence research (NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS) and be proficient in MS Office applications. Experience with advanced analytic tools is a positive.

• Forward deployed and/or Joint experience with a Combatant Command Highly Desired.

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with recent experience in military exercise planning, plus 20 years military operational experience. Master’s, MEL 4 Equivalent and SAMS graduate (or equivalent) preferable.

• Joint/International/Multi-Agency Exercise / Experiment Planning Experience or Joint/Service Test and Evaluation experience desired.

• Must have an ACTIVE Top Secret clearance and be eligible for SCI.

• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
