Synopsis: The Operational Environment Training Support Center (OE TSC) facilitates and acts as the principal enabler for continuous learning across all TRADOC lines of effort through acquiring, analyzing, creating, organizing, applying and transferring data, information, and knowledge in the context of current and future operations. The OE TSC is responsible for coordinating the training of deploying units on joint, national and interagency information, emerging asymmetric capabilities gleaned from world-wide operations; integrating processes, practices, concepts and materiel capabilities into Joint and Service DOTMLPF solutions; and coordinating with training centers, Centers of Excellence, and the experimental community to provide realistic enemy and environmental signatures into models and simulations in support of realistic training. Position is located at Ft. Eustis, Virginia.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Major Duties: The Operational Environment Training Support Center (OE TSC) Systems Integration Modeling and Simulations (SIMS) Directorate develops a variety of simulation and gaming technologies to train the pre-deployed force and students. The OE TSC Simulations Integrator will be tasked with integrating simulations, gaming, and command and control technologies and document the processes required which tie together the various systems. This person will also be tasked with producing software to support the interoperability between systems where an application to transfer the data may not exist.
Primary duties of the Simulation/C4I Integration Developer include:
Provides interoperability expertise.
Integrates multiple simulations and command and control applications to support the needs of the TBOC SIMS Directorate
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
Applies knowledge of computer hardware, software, and subject matter to be programmed in mission applications.
Implements cloud based architecture and web services to integrate and deliver OE TSC SIMS products
Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
High school diploma/GED required
JAVA and C/C++ programming experience required
Linux development experience required
2 years HLA/DIS experience required
Simulation interoperability and networking knowledge required
3 Years Constructive simulation experience required
Willingness and ability to travel extensively is required (25%). Work week may include shifts and weekends. US Passport required.
SECRET clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
Bachelors degree preferred
