Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for a Social Scientists to support the Combined Arms Center (CAC) in support of preparing the Army and its leaders for war. Leadership development, lessons learned, training and support are the key focus of CAC operations at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Applied Psychologist – Senior. The senior psychologist is differentiated from an applied psychologist by the degree to which the work is widely recognized as a contributor to a specialized area, the degree to which the

psychologist's judgment is sought, and the relevance and weight given the person's professional contributions in the community. Minimum Experience: Ph.D. and have served as a practitioner-scientist for multiple applied projects lasting over six months each. The senior psychologist may have managerial experience or alternatively be a leading scientist in his or her field (without supervisory responsibilities).

Applied Psychologist - Intermediate. Positions involving professional work relating to the behavior, capacities, traits, interests and activities of humans. This work may involve any one or a combination of the following functions: (1) experimenting with or systematically observing organisms to develop scientific principles or laws concerning the relationship of behavior to factors of environment, experience, or physiology, or to develop practical applications of findings; (2) applying professional knowledge of psychological principles, theories,

methods, or data to practical situations and problems such as assessment, selection, training, development and ; and (3) providing consultative services or training in psychological principles, theories, methods, and techniques to advance knowledge of them and their appropriate use. Typically requires a graduate degree (Master’s) in an applied field of psychology, such as industrial/organizational, personnel, psychometrics, human factors, social, personality,

etc. The Applied Psychologist will have experience as a project or team lead, with the professional and technical knowledge suitable to direct the work of team members. The applied psychologist requires little to no oversight of his or her professional capabilities and has full responsibility for those aspects of the job. They are responsible for results achieved.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

All levels should have a hold an active SECRET level security clearance.

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
