This role requires the individual to apply data mining, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques to build out the vision for the Business Intelligence department in order to bring transparency, understanding, and insight into healthcare data. They will develop and build custom solutions to HCP projects to drive revenues and opportunities for growth within the business. This individual will serve both internal and external clients with analytic solutions. Within the first 3 months of hire, this individual will have developed a rudimentary understanding of HCP data architecture and frameworks, and their integration. They will have assisted in basic analytical reporting. Within six months of hire, this individual will be comfortable with data from all HCP projects, and working closely with internal clients to meet analytical needs. After 12 months of employment, this member will assist in driving the B.I. development through innovation in predictive analytics and machine learning.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Assist in building out the vision for the Business Intelligence team
Bring transparency, understanding, and insight to complex healthcare data
Develop and build custom solutions for use by internal and external clients
Ensure business needs are being met
Support application development to include data modeling and integration with current systems
Support the transition to user-owned B.I. and reporting
Communicate technical requirements, issues, and problems, to business users
Provide summarized data and information for inclusion in executive level management updates and presentations
Develop a strong understanding of solutions, the underlying reporting framework and database structures
Interact with I.T. and Operations on a regular basis
Mine data and perform statistical testing as needed to draw conclusions regarding trends
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
1-3 years related experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience with statistical computing applications such as R or SAS (academic experience acceptable)
Front end application experience preferred (RStudio, Revolution R, JMP Pro)
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, in particular, their Machine Learning platform
Experience with data mining techniques and statistical analysis including applications to provide business solutions (scholastic experience acceptable for highly motivated candidates)
o Examples include linear/logistic regression, multivariate regression, LASSO, cluster vs classify, random forest techniques, neural networks, etc.
An interest in applying critical thinking, problem solving, and understanding of issues from both business and technical perspectives
Ability to convey complex technical specification into language easily digestible by non-technical business stakeholders and vice versa
Experience with data modeling
Understanding of relational databases, and working knowledge of SQL
Ability to dissect and learn applications and database solutions
Ability to work independently on projects with minimal direction
Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Knowledge of an object oriented programming language (scholastic experience is acceptable)
Experience with healthcare data
Experience with VBA
Experience with Microsoft Project
Experience with Microsoft Excel
