Position Description:

  • Must provide demonstrated experience with:

  • Software development

  • System Center 2012 R2 & 2016

  • System Center data migration methodology

  • Operations Manager

  • Virtual Machine Manager

  • Configuration of Management Packs

  • Software QA methodologies, tools and processes

  • Writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The contractor shall support the migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2016. This includes the following:

  1. Verify accuracy of existing SharePoint 2013 documentation

  2. Document a migration strategy

  3. Validate the migration strategy with internal agency SharePoint experts

  4. Design and Document Architecture

  5. Create a new SharePoint 2016 Farm

  6. Backup and restore SharePoint 2013 Content Databases to SharePoint 2016’s SQL Backend Clustered servers

  7. Verify content databases and attach to SharePoint 2016

  8. Upgrade Site Collections to move them to SharePoint 2016

  9. Update existing disaster recovery methods for production SharePoint environments based on the migrated version

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Both white box and black box testing

  • Automated testing tools

  • SQL and scripting

  • Agile/Scrum development process

  • Performance and/or security testing is a plus

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
