Position Description:

CGI Federal is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join CGI Federal to support the CIVIL division of DOJ.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  1. Performs accounting and account reconciliation tasks.

  2. Coordinates with traveler to advise of travel options, actual or proposed changes in plans and options due to preferences of traveler, and makes reservations as needed.

  3. Generates travel vouchers using government travel software and has the technical capacity to assist users with technical questions relating to government travel software.

  4. Advises traveler of the appropriate receipts/records needed for verification.

  5. Prepares, routes, and tracks travel related documents in accordance with GSA and DOJ regulations and office procedures, after ensuring all information is accurate.

  6. Obtains documents for the traveler and/or coordinates with other office personnel to obtain information.

  7. Creates and maintains logs and reports tracking status for all travel authorizations and vouchers.

  8. Investigates travel-related complaints or errors that may require reconstructing information or contracting service, and provides information to resolve situation.

  9. Prepares routine correspondence to agencies and initial case filing forms.

  10. Handles other general administrative functions to support the section’s activities.
