CGI Federal is looking for a Hardware Team Lead with proven experience who can be part of a team in a dynamic environment. The Hardware Team Lead is responsible for the support of 500+ customers with 1000+ desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, plus the associated software for standard products installed. Support all aspects of the client’s hardware Infrastructure workstations, printers, VoIP phones - by delivering and maintaining a robust, flexible, secure, and efficient technology portfolio while tracking all efforts performed in the IT Service Management System.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Participate in overall hardware refresh and replacement assessment and design.
• Provide Service Center Operations on-site and remote support to all client facilities and field offices.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of hardware support technicians coordinating support activities and monitoring time and attendance.
• Track all work in the Client IT Service Management (ITSM) system by monitoring ticket queues; handling, documenting, resolving, and reviewing resolved tickets.
• Work with building management to track inventory thresholds, request equipment approved by IT leadership for deployment and manage paperwork documenting equipment chain of custody.
• Lead the evaluation of used hardware making a determination if it can be repurposed or retired.
• Lead efforts to reimage laptops and computers, working with the other support teams to resolve roadblocks.
• Measure the quality of services to end users and submit the results and recommendations for improvement to the Service Center Manager and Program Manager.
• Contribute to performance evaluations of hardware support technicians.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor"s in Information Technology or related.
• 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in IT Hardware.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle IT Hardware related activities on a large program
