Position Description:

The individual is responsible for leading and providing oversight to the technical activity associated with the planning, development and implementation. They will work with the Project Manager, Solution Architect, Functional lead, Data Architect and SMEs to ensure all the necessary decisions are made and activities are in place to support the deliverables on-time and on-budget.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Point person responsible for the management of all technical tasks (design, development, and implementation).

• Participates in technical design planning for system development, integration and solution deployment.

• Leads, plans and oversees the activities supporting the development and deployment of the planned solution. This includes implementation planning, release management, development planning and decision making in technical areas.

• Works closely with the solution architect and is responsible for facilitation of all technical discussion and follow-up with the customer closing all open questions from NCHS, ISSO or OCISO. Also works closely with the security lead and responsible for facilitating all security discussions and closing all open questions from NCHS, ISSO or OCISO.

• Monitors the development team work and process while working closely with the development team lead, solution architect, and integration team members. Work with team members to identify technical blockers and develop a joint plan to close them.

• Participates in all scrum calls and works closely with the NHCS BA on sprint planning.

• Prepares and deliver presentations on system design and implementation plan.

In relation to the above duties and responsibilities:

• CDC experience working with ISSO and OCISO regarding system deployments and infrastructure design. Also includes CDC EPLC and release implementation process.

• Experience setting up SMTP, DNS servers.

• Experience with Docker to minimize local environment configuration and streamline. deployment on different developer and development VMs.

• Knowledge in the Continuous Development, Testing and Delivery of New Code (CICD).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 7 – 10 years of relevant experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or experience in lieu of degree

• Demonstrated analytical skills

• Experience with large enterprise applications

• Willingness to Support High Visibility Projects with Tight Timelines

• Customer support experience

• Executive level verbal and written skills here to enter text.

• Need excellent people skills and works effectively with a team.

• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

• CDC experience working with ISSO and OCISO regarding system deployments and infrastructure design. Also includes CDC EPLC and release implementation process.

• Experience setting up SMTP, DNS servers.

• Experience with Docker to minimize local environment configuration and streamline. deployment on different developer and development VMs.

• Knowledge in the Continuous Development, Testing and Delivery of New Code (CICD).

• Experience working in cloud environments (Amazon or Azure).

• Public Health experience

• MS SQL data warehouse deployment

• Familiarity with Qlik BI reporting

• FIPS-2, FISMA, SSO,

• Federation SAML,

• MPKI, SSL certificate, digital encryption and digital signing,

• Restful web Services, API implementation, Spring, Hibernate,

• JPA, NoSql DB and Microservices
