Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Systems/Middleware Administrator who will be responsible for the coordination, creation, and maintenance of all project related computing environments.

These environments include, but are not limited to: Development, System Test, Conversion, Performance Test, Training and production.

You can have success in this career opportunity by understanding how Microsoft products fit in a .NET environment (not expected to be a coder); and strong knowledge in MS Server (2016 ideally, but if you know 2012 R2 - that would suffice), and how applications run in an enterprise environment!

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Your responsibilities consists of the following:

• Infrastructure installation

• Documentation

• Troubleshooting system issues.

• Provide operational customer support of Pension Solution

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must have experience installing and troubleshooting applications in a Microsoft Server environment.

• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server installation, configuration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with SSRS

• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills.

• Ability to act as the liaison between project teams (developers, testers, etc.) and administrators.

• Ability to lead discussions and identify environment needs; what is needed and when.

• Ability to map needs into hardware and operating system requirements and work with administrators to get the necessary infrastructure provisioned.

• Ability to map needs into database requirements and work with DBAs to get necessary databases provisioned and configured.

• Document and maintain the environment specific configurations.

• Ensure that all hardware and system software licenses are compliant and asset management processes are followed.

• Provide Level 2 support for project environment issues. Troubleshoot and resolve issues and escalate to administrators, developers or manufactures as necessary.

• Coordinate and participate in system creation/maintenance. Work such as patching and upgrades.

• After hours and weekend support is expected during certain phases of the project.

• General understanding of networks, and protocols (firewalls, routers, switches, TCP/UDP, etc.).

• Familiarity with VMware and Windows System administration.

Customer Service / Help Desk - 5 years of experience

Enterprise Software Installation - 3 years of experience

Requirements Analysis - 2 years of experience

Troubleshooting Application Issues - 4 years of experience


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) 2010 or later

• Familiarity with client/server infrastructure

Prior working knowledge of Sagitec NeoSpin a plus
