Position Description:

The Property & Casualty Insurance team is looking to staff client engagements with skilled Guidewire Business Analysts. We are looking to staff using a combination of existing Property & Casualty Insurance Vertical members and new additions.Your future duties and responsibilities:

• As a senior BA, you will:

• Reporting into the Requirements Manager for performing business analysis function

• Work in a fast paced cross functional agile (Scrum/SAFe) work environment

• Lead requirements for Guidewire PolicyCenter, Integration and Conversion functions.

• Work with client SME to elicit business and technical requirements.

• Conduct and facilitate workshops / JAD sessions, etc., with internal and client stake holders; Seek timely approvals from the client SME / stakeholders

• Gather requirements for “Guidewire Rating” module (Rate book, rate table, rate routines)

• Document requirements specifications for data analysis, data mappings for Guidewire, third party integrations and transformation

• Develop functional specifications in the form of User Stories, process flows, use cases, data mappings leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally, etc.,

• Conduct user story / sprint demonstrations at the end of sprint / release

• Participate in agile sprint ceremonies, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospective sessions

• Conduct end user training by means of workshops, training guides and operation manuals

• Work with globally distributed across geographies for the purpose of delivering

• Work with internal development, testing teams to support requirements clarifications throughout the project execution

• Work with Requirements Manger, Scrum Master and Program Manager for various project activities

What you will bring?

• Excellent Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance to understand and analyze the business needs of the customer

• Detailed knowledge of Guidewire applications specifically PolicyCenter and Rating

• Experience in documenting specification for Rating (Rate book, rate table and rate routines),

• Experience in data analysis, data mappings for Guidewire and third party integrations

• Expertise in creating functional specifications in the form of User Stories, process flows, use cases, data mappings

• Experienced at gathering, defining, and organizing business and functional requirements including acceptance criteria for use by developers and tester to implement and test a functionality

• Ability to lead and facilitate the requirements gathering sessions

• Eliciting requirements and scope using client interviews, document review, legacy analysis, survey and translating client requirements into agile user stories

• Collaboratively work closely with business product owners, Actuaries, Architect, developers and testers to ensure the solution is built in accordance to defined requirements

• Identifying, capturing, resolving or escalating risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies

• Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business problem

• Ability to work in the global delivery model and be a liaison between the client and software development team situation across different geographies

• Experience in working in a fast paced Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and multiple stakeholder environments

• Exposure to Insurance Policy Data Conversion

• Implementing Guidewire PolicyCenter - Personal Lines of Business for an US carrier is an asset

Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills:

• 10 – 12 years of experience in delivering wide range of technology solution across Insurance Industry

• At least 5-7 years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, Rating

• Experience in writing specification for Rate book, rate table and rate routines

• Hands on experience working on Guidewire Advance product designer, data dictionary, underwriting rules framework etc.

• Experience in data analysis, data mappings for Guidewire and third party integrations

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

• Guidewire PolicyCenter functional certifications

• Agile Certifications (Scrum / SAFe)

• InsureTech enthusiast

Technical Skills:

• Guidewire application knowledge (PolicyCenter, Rating)

• Experience using management tools like Confluence, Jira, Rally, HP ALM

• Expertise in using Microsoft Office suite, Visio etc.

• Ability to query SQL DB and analyze results

• Experience working on XML and JSON structures

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800 -$165,200.
