Position Description:

The ERP Technical Consultant is responsible for all aspects of integrations between systems, including designing, developing, and testing integrations between a core ERP system and various external systems. This individual will have experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions, extracting, transforming, and loading relevant data between internal applications and external systems. The Technical Consultant will need to juggle numerous tasks simultaneously and be able to communicate with stakeholders and report risk and status to team lead or manager.

Future duties and responsibilities:

• Significant experience with all types of testing phases, test tools, test automation, test data, and test management.

• Able to meet with clients to assess needs and develop practical and innovative testing solutions.

• Participate in providing testing expertise in pre-sales and post-sales solutions definition, scoping, and estimation for testing engagements (or testing component of broader engagements); also support direct client communications throughout assessment process.

• Background in building, evaluating, and managing large testing teams.

• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.

• Experience in RFP and proposal writing for large testing opportunities.

• Experience in assessing current state, creating gap analyses, developing practical and innovative testing solutions.

• Extensive knowledge of testing best practices including methodologies and tools prevalent in the industry.

• Demonstrated thought leadership in testing industry.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

10 years of Leading a Team

-5+ years experience as Tester

  • Conduct alignment and strategy discussion.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in system analysis and design methodologies

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and practices

  • Familiarity with database concepts and SQL

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results

  • Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Understanding of state and local government functions

• Ability conduct effective meetings

• Seasoned team player

Flexible, “do what needs to be done” attitude

Effective individual contributor

Packaged solution and third party vendor management experience

Knowledge of CGI frameworks and offerings


• Familiarity with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools

• Microsoft Office – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Or Equivalent

• Experience with CGI Advantage (not required)

• Experience with Pervasive/Actian, Pentaho, or other similar software

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $74,600-$143,700.
