CGI is seeking a Microservices Lead to drive the direction and roadmap for the Microservices Architecture.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for sound and high quality technical deliverables.

• Drive the direction and roadmap for the microservices architecture.

• Provide innovative solutions to complex situations and drive outcomes.

• Provide technical guidance and architectural assistance around Kafka, Microservices and Mongo DB integrations

• Mentor and guide team members and assist them in developing high quality code.

• Work in an Agile environment and adapt to the changing needs and requirements of the business.

• Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans - identify issues and provide solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years of experience developing web applications using J2EE.

• 3+ years’ experience developing and managing RESTful API applications with microservices architecture.

• 4+ years of experience in Spring Boot and/or Spring.

• 4+ years’ experience working as a lead and driving high quality outcomes.

• Working knowledge of Open Shift Container Platform and Kubernetes.

• Experience integrating Java based applications with Mongo DB.

• Demonstrate strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments

• Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams and in an Agile environment.

• An inherent ability to solve problems and provide solutions

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Kafka

• Experience in Financial Services

Education: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related IT field or equivalent combination of experience and education
