Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Software Architect for decisioning is responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of software solutions related to decision-making process.

This position should be located in Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX however a hybrid working model is acceptable.

This role involves collaborating with Sr. Architects, understanding business requirements and developing architecture to support effective decisioning systems. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of credit card or lending decision support technologies are essential for success in this position. Typical job duties include:

• Organization/Communication – The architect would need to work with a lot of groups including non-technical groups and stakeholders. It is extremely important to be able to talk about architecture and requirements in both a details technical and non-technical/business focused.

• Lead or facilitate meetings with various technology and business parties involved

• Create process flows, design and architecture documents and presentations that articulate the current and proposed solutions

• Technically extremely sound with JSON, XML, REST API patterns, decisioning logic, data management, data architecture

• Strong understanding of Microservices

• Highly motivated to learn the new decisioning platform to hit the ground running immediately.

• Ability to support all phases of SDLC and work closely with developers and testers to ensure the development aligns with the architectural solution.

• Ability to support post-production validations and production issues that may arise due to requirement, testing or solution gaps.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

With guidance from the Project Manager and in collaboration with team members, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Organization/Communication – The architect would need to work with a lot of groups including non-technical groups and stakeholders. It is extremely important to be able to talk about architecture and requirements in both a details technical and non-technical/business focused.

• Work with the Enterprise Architect team on designs, integrations, and estimates to ensure proposed and existing solution are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

• Lead or facilitate meetings with various technology and business parties involved.

• Responsible for application configuration, defining best practices, and delivering high quality solutions on-time and on-budget

• Document and maintain the organization’s existing solutions architecture and technology portfolio; Make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.

• Create process flows, design and architecture documents and presentations that articulate the current and proposed solutions

• Technically extremely sound with JSON, XML, REST API patterns, decisioning logic, data management, data architecture

• Strong understanding of Microservices

• Highly motivated to learn the new decisioning platform to hit the ground running immediately.

• Ability to support all phases of SDLC and work closely with developers and testers to ensure the development aligns with the architectural solution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent preferred but not required

• Must have 3+ years of experience in an architectural role

• 7+ years of software development experience with skills in Java, REST services, Microservices architecture

• Must be able to analyze, design and support implementation of business specific solutions and/or frameworks

• Experience in creating reusable components that can be leveraged across the enterprise for providing top-notch customer experience

• Consumed, developed, and implemented API' s and architecture patterns.

• Ability to design, develop and manage workflows, User Interfaces, Activities, Utilities, and Decision Rules

• Extensive knowledge on debugging, Data transforms, CI/CD and Pega 8.x version features

• Excellent knowledge in SDLC, agile, and other implementation methodologies

• Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - $186,000.”
