Position Description:

CGI is hiring a Platform Support Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Minimum 5+ years of work experience managing Linux, Enterprise cloud platforms (Cloudera, SPARK CLUSTERS etc.,) is a must.

• Candidate should be familiar with Linux\Windows\Open Source Technology systems like (SLURM) and servers.

• Candidate should have worked and managed SPARK Clusters, SLURM Clusters, Performance tuning/memory profiling for python and spark loads.

• Experience managing Jupiter Hub

• Candidate will be responsible to set up Linux\HPC nodes on BARE METAL servers, VM's, often for organization-wide deployment.

• Candidate will be able to develop servers/repurpose servers and work with individual users to ensure that the system works reliably and quickly and answer questions related to setup and installation.

• Actively design, build, and integrate applications and platforms.

• Understanding various server architectural blueprints, operating system builds technologies, system patching, system management, auditing, automation, as well as server build processes.

• Understand the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Support Domains and Skills and work together to ensure a stable, performing, monitored and productive environment.

• Performs and supports routine system maintenance, is adept at reviewing System Logs and ensuring System Health. (Truesight, Kibana, ELK)

• Familiar with NAS, SAN, HDFS, GPFS , SSFS, NDM Connect.

• Hands on with Python, Shell script and writing administrative scripts.

• Experience in Hadoop ecosystem with strong experience in Cloudera administration.

• Experience administrating distributed applications: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Map Reduce, Hive, or other NoSQL (Cassandra)

• Experience with large-scale high-performance distributed systems like Hadoop, NoSQL or Spark

• Experience with setting up and configuring the YARN queues using the YARN queue manager

• Experience with Devops, scripting or other automation

• Working knowledge of Networks, Linux OS and Unix Shell Scripting

• Experience in enabling the Kerberos setup in the platform

• Experience in proper configuration on Hadoop clusters and conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance

• Setup/config/administer AI/ML platforms/products as a plus

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Agile experience is required with Version One or Jira tool expertise

• Deliver high quality work and adapt to new challenges, as an individual or as part of a team

• Excellent communication and thought leadership skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personality types and understand technical issues.
