Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of banking originations projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking processes, particularly around loan and account originations, as well as experience managing complex, cross-functional projects. This role requires excellent Project Management Skills, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to coordinate teams, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Proficient at all aspects of Project Management including

• Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end management of originations projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, technology teams, vendors, and senior leadership, to gather requirements and provide regular updates.

• Scope and Risk Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, while identifying and mitigating risks that could impact timelines or outcomes.

• Timeline and Budget Management: Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Process Improvement: Drive process improvements in banking originations by implementing best practices, streamlining workflows, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

• Team Coordination: Manage cross-functional teams, assign tasks, and track deliverables to ensure all team members work cohesively towards common project goals.

• Reporting: Provide regular status reports, including key metrics, progress updates, and risk mitigation strategies, to senior management and stakeholders.

• Change Management: Lead change management efforts by communicating changes in scope, schedule, or deliverables and ensuring smooth transitions.

• Estimation & Budget management

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field. A PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.

• Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, with a focus on banking, financial services, or specifically banking originations (loan and account originations).

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with banking systems, originations platforms, and digital transformation projects. Experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, or other project management software.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to and influence senior leadership.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing project risks and resolving conflicts.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory requirements in banking, particularly around originations and customer onboarding processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks.

• Prior experience in digital banking transformation projects.

• Knowledge of loan origination systems (LOS) and customer onboarding platform

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 - $168,900.
