Position Description:

This role is the Technical Architect Lead overseeing a performance improvement effort for an exiting client in the state government. This person will work with the client architect to determine the best course of action to improve the application in question. They will need to help define, document, estimate and manage the technical improvements needed. Expectations are also to validate the quality of the final outcomes.

You will interact with multiple levels of Developers, System Analysts, Business Users, Architects, Test Analysts, Project Managers and peers to review and validate the system technical requirements, design and implementation of the performance improvements. Technical solutions and supporting deliverables will be constructed to enable the client to accomplish its business objectives. You will be validating the technical solution to these business objectives.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

o This project is set to run between 3 and 10 months at the discretion of the client.

o Develop and build out the technical performance applications (if available) to help measure current and future improvements to the system to help define success for the effort. If there are no viable applications to do this, develop and demonstrate clear measurement tools to show success of the overall efforts.

o Create technical solution documents containing individual work streams to create the desired performance improvements for the client in the designated application. This will also include expected benefits and estimates of work and time for each work stream.

o You will also be responsible for reporting progress weekly and any issues or blockers discovered during the effort with recommendations to correct those items. Responsible for responding in a timely manner to both client and internal management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  1. 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications utilizing Java or .Net.

  2. Good to have working knowledge with multiple databases.

  3. Working knowledge in DevOps tools.

  4. An inherent ability to solve technical problems and provide solutions.

  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  6. You should have hands-on experience on business process development and/or Integration with system tools.
