Position Description:

CGI is actively seeking a Federal Government Acquisition subject matter expert (SME) motivated to start or grow their career in IT consulting. Candidate will join an experienced team serving in a key role as a SME supporting our client’s procurement office. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, work will be performed remotely. One we return to normal circumstances, the work will primarily take place at CGI Federal's headquarters in Fairfax, VA or client location in Washington, DC. Specific functions will include, but are not limited to performing impact analysis of current business processes with a Momentum upgrade, presenting recommendations to improve current business processes, assisting procurement staff with upgrade strategy including communication and training, and managing the client relationship. This is a great opportunity support a large government agency with their Momentum upgrade by leveraging past experience to recommend procurement best practices and applying lessons learned with business process changes and/or software upgrades.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the client’s procurement office with the planning and upgrade activities associated with their Momentum upgrade and gaining an understanding of the current business processes.

  • Provide functional support for the adoption of new capabilities in the new version of Momentum and recommend improvements to current business processes

  • Manage client relationship through regular engagement with designated client stakeholders

  • Attend and participate in meetings with project staff and clients at various levels

  • Prepare executive status briefings

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Must have former acquisitions/procurement experience as a Federal Government Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist or as a Contractor with a minimum of 3 years of experience in pre and post-award procurements

  • Must have completed at least the level 2 FAC-C or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) contracting classes or possess a level 2 FAC-C certification

  • Must have 3+ years of Momentum Acquisitions experience

  • Must be organized and have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must have client management experience and be able to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
