CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a AWS Developer (Mid). In this position you will work with multiple IT disciplines in shaping, executing and sustaining the Cloud/Hosting strategy for a shared service platform focused on identifying and mitigating a wide range of cyber risks. You will work closely with the Cloud Architecture and Operations teams to support the client’s mission, priorities, and unique challenges. You will also support the implementation of cyber security COTS offerings focusing on next generation security solutions and technologies.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated deployment and patching systems across multiple baselines (machine images and containers) that support an AWS based shared services platform for a broad spectrum of users and initiatives.

• Work with emerging and innovative technologies to develop solutions supporting innovation efforts around data analysis, process improvement, machine learning and other software and systems that support the client’s mission

• Support users by establishing environments, support configuration changes and updates

• Proactively communicate and coordinate with multiple project teams

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification

• Expertise in the area of cloud technologies to include on/off/hybrid models.

• Experience using Infrastructure as Code/automation technologies (Ansible/Terraform/CloudFormation) for Infrastructure Automation, Infrastructure Capacity Monitoring and Automated Scaling solutions

• Experience using the Elastic, Logstash, Kibana (ELK) Stack, with an emphasis on Elastic and Kibana

• Experience functioning in a DevOps practice using CI/CD automations.

• Experience evaluating, implementing and supporting COTS products in the cloud.

• Experience with Infrastructure Automation, Infrastructure Capacity Monitoring and Automated Scaling solutions

• 1+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing container (Docker) solutions on Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of client deliverables and technical content.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability and initiative to set goals and execute.

• Ability to work within a team environment with a solid work ethic

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification

• Experience in the design, deployment & integration of on premise and hybrid cloud solutions.

• Linux administration experience strongly preferred

• Python experience strongly preferred

• Security relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security, and CEH.

• Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance such as NIST SP 800-37, Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems: a Security Life Cycle Approach and NIST 800-137, Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations

• Experience with CISA’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800.00 - $185,800.00.
