Position Description:

At CGI Federal's Enterprise Solutions Group, we are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to deliver IT excellence and create innovative solutions in the public cloud. You will work with fellow Azure and AWS team members to form the best minds in cloud solutions and give innovative solutions to our clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Candidate is expected to support our government clients in Microsoft Azure deployments, lift & shift migrations and innovative cloud solutions. The Azure Cloud Engineer should be able to design, build, and deploy scalable Azure resources with a DevSecOps mindset. The solutions should be built with re-use in mind and should follow cloud architectural best practices. Candidate should be a problem solver and should be self-motivated to identify novel solutions. Finally, the candidate should become subject matter experts and evangelize the latest technologies and tools to provide better efficiency and solution to other teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Candidate is expected to have experience using the following technologies:

• Azure certification

• Azure Resource Manager

• Azure Security

• Azure Automation

• Azure Functions

• Azure PowerShell and CLI

• Understanding of Agile, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Be able to successfully work within a distributed team via collaboration tools

• Be able to work in an Agile environment

• Be able to work with incomplete requirements and information


• Python

• Containers, AKS, OpenShift

• Networking


• Knowledge of Microsoft’s IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings

• Knowledge of Azure Government, GCC, and DoD


Additional Requirements:

• Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.

Est. Salary/Hourly Range (Colorado Only): $75,000 - 125,000*
