CGI Federal is looking for a communications specialist to provide assistance across our portfolio of programs within the business unit including Veterans Affairs, Justice, Homeland Security, Legislative Branch, Judicial Branch, and Intelligence Community. This key team member must have demonstrated success in crafting, designing and developing compelling materials and presentations.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Brainstorming and conceptualizing program objectives into clear concepts for visual communication
•Translating concepts into polished, professional designs
•Design graphics & communique to ensure they build towards a cohesive and holistic brand experience that addresses brand position, business goals and strategic objectives.
• Design and update graphics for briefings, marketing materials, and other projects as requested.
• Create exemplary, intuitive visual design solutions for marketing materials, presentations and other visual representations including brochures, posters, banners, html emails, illustrations/graphics and logos
• Design innovative concepts and content
• Manage and adhere to brand standards and knowledge of copyright images/logos
• Prepares and conceptualizes work to be accomplished by gathering necessary research from key stakeholders
• Works with the branding team on the development of design standards
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 3-5 years communications experience
• Excellent communication skills including excellent PowerPoint skills
• Light graphic skills a plus
• Excellent writing and presentation skills, including developing and delivering effective presentations to leadership / executives
• The successful candidate will have a high energy level and be motivated by working with bright, driven people in a values-based culture
• Independent, self-starting, and be able to stay calm under the pressures of multiple deadlines, possessing good multitasking skills
• Excellent organization skills and serve as an effective team player, working well with their peer group and support staff
• Results-oriented with a strong track record of delivering for their team
Education: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree. A Master’s or other advanced degrees/relevant certifications a plus.
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
