Position Description:

As a Delivery Manager within CGI's Defense Business Unit, you will perform digital transformation for our Defense and Space client portfolios, deliver IT excellence, and foster innovation within the Cloud. Lead a team of T1/T2 engineers, application operations & maintenance staff, managed hosting and security staff, and team of system and database administrators. Work with fellow managers, directors, analysts, engineers, and developers to form the best minds in Cloud solutions and brief innovative solutions to C-level stakeholders.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Candidates will be required to provide an extensive understanding of the architecture and processes for large, complex Cloud environments. Candidates will interact with internal/external technical and functional groups to form a cohesive project team. Candidates will be responsible for providing professional and effective technical consulting services to client organizations while supporting n-tier systems. Successful candidates will perform job activities in a thoughtful and careful manner with the goal of providing uninterrupted service to the architecture and user community within the defined system availability times. Work to include, but not limited to:

-Assist in virtual/physical network and system design within the Cloud.

-Plan for and tune all web, middleware, db instance components within RHEL and WINTEL platforms.

-Manage J2EE and .NET applications and databases deployed on Apache, IIS, JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, and Oracle Weblogic, Oracle RAC, Oracle Exalogic, Oracle Exalytics, Oracle EBS, Oracle Exadata, MSSQL Server.

-Develop automated deployments via Puppet, Ansible, and like tools for provisioning, scaling, and management.

-Ensure performance metrics using AppDynamcis, SolarWinds, and like toolsets.

-Responsible for P/L for large installations.

-Achieved desired internal and external metrics for client and member satisfation.

-Migrate datacenter operations to the Cloud.

-Consolidate and transform current workloads within CRM, BPM, and like technical SaaS and PaaS.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

-Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, IS/IT or like technical degree. 4 years of applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

-10-15 years of practical experience leading large IT installations.

-Must be able to successfully complete a CGI background check to start employment.

Preferred certifications range from: RHEL SE, Oracle DBA, MCSE, Azure or AWS operations

Desired:

-Experience running DBA and T1/T2 teams.

-Strong datacenter consolidation and migration history.

-Proven enterprise architecture background.

-Strong history in automation via scripting and toolsets.

-DevOps experience with Chef/Puppet/Ansible.

-Monitoring experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, SolarWinds.

-Performance montioring development via JMeter or like technology.

-BPM development via Dynamics, ServiceNow, or like BPM software.

-Experience in Azure/AWS/Oracle/VMware Clouds

-Certified Azure/AWS Cloud Architect.
