The Project Assistant supports CGI’s leadership team for the DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program. Additionally, this role serves as the liaison between the program and federal department security organizations in support of the DHS CDM program. The Project Assistant will be the "Subject Matter Expert" on department security requirements and will work with CGI Security to handle clearance and EOD issues.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Project Assistant will be responsible for the oversight of security clearance and Entry on Duty procedures and processes that support multiple government agencies. In addition the successful candidate will:
In conjunction with CGI Security, develop, coordinate and conduct required security training.
Assist on-site and area personnel in initiating background investigation paperwork (including fingerprinting) using e-QIP software via the DoD JPAS database and customer-centric clearance tracking mechanisms.
Provide initial security indoctrination briefings, debriefings and annual refresher briefings.
Assist the Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) as needed.
Process employee security access requests with various government agencies requiring submission of hardcopy requests and frequent telephone contact.
Provide weekly and monthly activity reports to the Project Manager.
Provide reports and information to Corporate Security as required.
Ensure all databases are maintained and kept up-to-date.
Additionally, the project assistant will provide administrative support to the project leadership team, including scheduling meetings, preparing trip reports to the client, submitting expense vouchers, and other similar tasks.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
Minimum of 2 years of security experience
Well-versed in personnel security, Information Technology (IT) and the DHS Entry on Duty process.
Must present a professional appearance, possess candor and be able to communicate effectively (both orally and written) with senior management.
