Position Description:

The primary function of this job is providing accounting and financial support by preparing BU month-end reporting and analysis. The individual will facilitate the month-end close process by posting journal entries and completing the month-end reporting package. During the other days of the month, the employee will review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and process subcontractor invoices timely, track subcontractor balances and work with contracts to ensure adequate funding and other Ad Hoc support requested by management. Your future duties and responsibilities:

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly corporate (Hyperion), internal BU, and any other AD HOC reporting accurately and on time. Improve existing report/schedules or create new reports/schedules from scratch when needed. Update reporting instructions on existing and new reports.

Manage and understand all aspects of the BU's balance sheet accounts (AR, WIP, Pre-paids, CAPEX, Amortization, etc). Prepare and enter transactions, update schedules, and supporting balance sheet reporting. Solve reconciliation or transaction problems.

Serve as a business partner to the BU controller, assistant controller, PCAs, and other FCS and SAJE groups (AP, Social club, GL dept, PMs, VPs).

Receive monthly subcontractor invoices, creating invoice cover sheets with the coding to submit to Accounts Payable for processing and ensure that invoices are paid against the correct PO and project numbers

Track funding by PO, beginning balance, invoice paid against the PO and remaining balance and period of performance.

Work closely with Subcontractor Administrator to ensure adequate funding on PO lines and no delay in invoice processing.

Work closely with Program Control Analyst to ensure invoices are paid against the correct PO.

Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve issues to get invoices processed in a timely manner, including but not limited to linking vendor and PLCs.

Obtain necessary approvals for to submit invoices for payment, including EFT, Wire Transfers and checks.

Support project review, internal and external audit requests with accurate financial data and value added financial analysis.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

High school diploma plus 0-2 years of experience. Basic knowledge of accounting, intermediate knowledge of Excel, Costpoint experience preferred but not necessary
