Position Description:

CGI is seeking experienced and motivated professionals to provide end-to-end hazard classification and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring services to chemical manufacturers in support of global chemical regulatory compliance laws. Ability to engage with other SDS authoring professionals amongst a geographically diverse CGI SDS authoring team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Provide hazard assessment, hazard classification and SDS authoring services to clients. Services can include but are not limited to:

-SDS Authoring

-Composition verification including vendor contact as needed

-Dangerous goods classification and/or verification

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Experience in preforming hazard classification and authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). (2+ years)

Experience in the following chemical regulations is a plus: OSHA HazCom 2012 / TSCA (US), CLP / REACH (EU), WHMIS 2015 / HMIRA (Canada), and GHS. (2+ years)

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and the ability to learn new concepts quickly. (2+ years)

Basic computer and word processing skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel in particular) are required. (2+ years)

Ability to travel 25%.

Desired Skills:

Experience with SDS authoring software applications (e.g. ProSteward360®, The WERCS, Intelligent Authoring, MSDGen, SAP EHS)

Dangerous Goods / Transportation Classification Certification

Understanding of other hazard communication and regulatory compliance work processes including chemical inventory, industrial hygiene, and right-to-know

Experience in process manufacturing, food contact, retail and consumer goods, and/or oil and gas industries

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $52,000-$60,000*
