CGI Federal is looking for a Senior Scrum Master to help to modernize a widely used government portal providing a more robust search tool in a modern, user friendly interface. This role is key to leading a small agile development team in the design and development of a proof-of-concept and MVP unified search solution for our client. The Senior Scrum Master must have at least five (5) years of previous experience leading and managing complex agile IT development projects and must hold a Scrum Master Professional or PMI-ACP certification. The right candidate must also have experience with leading and managing multiple agile scrum development teams with diverse skill sets, involving multiple stakeholders and complex integration scenarios.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for facilitating and championing the agile software development process.
Maintain a smooth operation of our agile processes and activities
Responsible for leading daily stand-ups, backlog prioritization meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
At least five (5) years of previous experience leading and managing complex agile IT development projects
Professional Scrum Master or PMI-ACP Certification
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
Knowledge of SAFe Framework
Excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach, such as numerous Burn down techniques and Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 – $161,600.
