CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Cyber Threat Analyst for a large Federal cybersecurity program. The Sr. Cyber Threat Analyst works as part of a team delivering threat hunting and cybersecurity capabilities to Federal agencies as part of a comprehensive cyber security service. This role provides the opportunity to continuously learn new technologies, work with Federal clients, and work with a cross-functional team of subject matter experts.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Perform security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise.• Perform cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and make recommendations which enable expeditious remediation.• Track cyber actions from initial detection through final resolution.• Analyze and assess damage to the data/infrastructure.• Perform cyber engineering trend analysis and reporting.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.• Active TS clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI and agency suitability clearance.• Must have working knowledge of relevant cyber security tool sets such as NAC, Firewall, SIEM, vulnerability scanners (both on-prem and cloud), anti-malware software, network analyzer, IDS/IPS technologies, DLP’s, Mobile and IOT security, etc.• Experience with various cyber defense concepts, including threat hunting.• Full stack knowledge of networking systems and tools.• Basic understanding of networking protocols.• Familiar with networking concepts and technologies such as VPNs, routers, switches, load balancers, IP Protocols (DNS, ICMP, DHCP, etc.), ports and payloads.• Familiar with advanced IP concepts, including VoIP, and IPv6. This includes the ability to capture and analyze packet contents in detail using Deep Packet Inspection (DPI).• Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels and demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with government officials and program office stakeholders.• Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.• Ability to balance and prioritize many diverse tasks at once.Desired Qualifications:• Familiarity with Federal Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) policies and configurations.• Industry recognized cybersecurity certificates such as CISSP, Security+, ISSMP, CISM and CCSP.• Working knowledge of packet analysis tools such as Wireshark.• Familiarity with forensics.#CGIFederalJob
