Position Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Technical lead) with more than nine years experience developing large scale software applications using .Net and experience with Business Intelligence tools such Tableau, SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, Cloud migration; Managing team of junior, mid and senior business analysts and demonstrated ability to work in a virtual team environment; Working with a team of highly skilled and innovative full-stack application developers, these individuals will be responsible for full SDLC of web applications. This person will support a federal customer by providing their expertise, guidance, consultation, facilitation and thought leadership to the client and/or project team. This position is Fairfax based with minimal to no travel required to client site.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead a team of junior, mid and senior developers.

• The ideal candidate has experience working with solution architects and cloud engineers in translating client IT strategic goals, roadmaps, and business requirements into future state architectures designed to leverage the cutting edge functionality. The candidate utilizes the highly collaborative architecture design efforts to develop migration strategies and manages the execution of those strategies to system hand-off for steady state activities. This candidate is passionate about taking on a client's mission as a driver for managing people, timelines, and tasks in order to deliver dynamic migrations that continue to evolve in method and strategy.

• As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a complex project module.

• Provides hands-on day-to-day coaching and support for senior and junior software team personnel in all phases of a project including aspects such as systems architecture, reuse, development processes, technical direction, mentoring of the team.

• Provides technical leadership and mentoring on projects from beginning to end, with emphasis not only on excellent initial design and/or package experience, but also on creative problem resolution in a multi-disciplinary environment.

• Understands the risks, issues, and the potential areas of concern with the project on an ongoing basis.

• Acts independently as a technical advisor on the most specialized phases of system design, programming, implementation, and analysis; leads and participates in major system design, development and implementations.

• Work in Agile scrum development team or independently assisting on projects that

require .NET development. expertise

• Support gathering system requirements and develop specifications, Write code according to specifications, Quality review of others' code or designs, Diagnose and fix bugs in conjunction with QA team

• Coordinate and communicate cross-functional activities between team members

• Develop MS project schedule and support management team.

• Interaction with the client and project manager.

• Applies process improvement and re-engineering methodologies and principles to conduct business process modernization.

• Identify risks/issues and escalate to project management and client, as required, including mitigation strategies and contingency plans

• Provide timely status updates on SDLC tasks and deliverables.

• Perform high-level and detailed-level estimation of required effort based on project scope and objectives (e.g., user story points)

• Identify and facilitate the development of creative solutions that meet the client’s needs and/or provide growth opportunities for the team

• Execute adequate life cycle/release planning that demonstrates strong understanding of the scope of work, resources required to complete all tasks, sound assumptions, and clear understanding and recognition of risks involved

• Carry out other related tasks and projects

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 9 plus years Hands-on experience in Software Development as a software developer, developing Web Applications.

• Deep understanding of SDLC processes, spanning requirements/issue management, defect tracking, source control, build and test automation, and release managemen

• Experience with designing and developing applications using .NET development platform (C#, ASP.Net).

• Experience with designing and developing applications using Windows workflow.

• Hands-on experience using Agile methodology using one or more of these - Srum, DevOps, Scaled Agile etc..

• Demostarted experience with Azure and Amazon AWS, Cloud Migration, Microservices.

• Hands-on experience with dashboard and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.

• Demostrated experience and strong undersanding of Micro-services cloud native software development.

• Demonstrated experience with evaluating code quality using tools such as SonarQube to perform automatic code reviews to detect bugs and security vulnerabilities.

• Demostrated experience and strong understanding of TFS, JIRA, Confluence etc..

• Strong knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts. Database experience with either SQL Server (T-SQL) or MySQL.

• Working knowledge of MVC, MVVM, Domain Driven Design, Test Driven Design and CI/CD patterns Strong understanding of authentication, authorization security concepts.

• Demonstrated expertise in software change management and version control practices.

• Experience with Web Services Development

• Experience with front end development using JQuery, CSS, HTML 5

• Full comprehension of Oracle 11/12 and SQL

• Experience in Application Security Code Review and/or Application Vulnerability Assessment

• Experience developing 508 compliant user interfaces

• Experience working on MS project.

• Knowledge of earned value management.

• Able to multitask and work effectively with minimal supervision.

• Ability to working effectively and collaboratively with others to achieve common goals
