Serves as the Technical Lead for the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Future Programs Team located in the Utility Helicopters Project Office (UHPO). This position requires the UH-60M aircraft SME to advise and participate in developing aircraft FMS cases presentable to potential foreign customers. This position requires international travel and the ability to speak publically in meetings consisting of foreign government/military personnel.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Assist FMS customers in technical development of aircraft configuration and FMS UH-60 total case development
Recommends sustainment strategies for future country FMS acquisition programs in response to customer Letters of Request (LOR)
Develop UHPO case pricing factors including unique aircraft capabilities and systems integration elements reflecting cost of equipment and services to support the Letter of Agreement (LOA) developed by Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD)
Work with FMS customers in developing aviation equipment and aircraft requirements to ensure satisfying all components of the LOR
Interact with U.S. Government, Security Assistance directorates/agencies, foreign national authorities, and OEM representatives during development of aviation programs through the creation of presentations, briefings, and face to face discussions with foreign national military and delegates
Develop case acquisition strategy for country cases reflecting total case timelines depicting personnel training, sustainment equipment, and aircraft delivery as part of the proposed new case timeline for customer consideration
Coordinate closely with other US government agencies and industry OEMs to ensure timely product implementation and successful methodologies are incorporated into FMS procurement cases
Coordinate with the Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED) on airworthiness subjects for unique aviation equipment installation requested to support new FMS cases
Participate in briefings and presentations to Foreign governments highlighting the mission employment of the UH-60M aircraft
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
B.S. Degree in conjunction with in depth UH-60 aircraft knowledge (Engineering discipline preferred)
Strong oral and written communications skills
Prior UH-60A/L/M MTP/ME or SP experience required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
The candidate should have in depth knowledge of UH-60A/L/M aircraft configurations, systems, and mission accomplishment methods through application of aircraft modifications/enhancements, aircraft capabilities/limitations, and aircraft sustainment strategies
Must be able and willing to travel internationally (Less Than 25%)
The position requires a valid tourist passport
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess a Secret Clearance
Capability to communicate and develop briefing products in MS Office Suite of programs.
Knowledge of ITAR and Trade Compliance processes is preferred
Experience working with U.S. Security Assistance agencies
Knowledgeable with Statements of Work (SOWs)
Technical knowledge and experience with Army helicopter Avionics Architecture/hardware/software is preferred
