Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Backend-Heavy, Java Full Stack Developer, AWS to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders. This hybrid position can be located anywhere in the U.S. where CGI has an office (in CT or ET), preferably in Reston, VA, Plano, TX, Lafayette, AL, Knoxville, TN or Columbia, SC.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing high level, detailed design for application components, for developing application code to implement business and technical requirements, for developing and executing unit test cases, for supporting the migration of code through various environments, and for supporting user testing.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

10 yrs+ IT Industry experience

Senior-level enterprise-level Java developer

Minimum of 3yrs – 4yrs experience with Spring MVC, and Hibernate

Experience with AngularJS or other front-end web application framework

Experience with creating and consuming both SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services

Strong working experience with core Java APIs

Experience with configuring and deploying software on WebLogic and/or JBoss

Experience working in an Agile Environment

Experience in Oracle from a Java development standpoint

Ability to write batch or standalone jobs

Experience in Unix scripting

Experience in DB/SQL

Good communication skills

Experience with AWS is a must.

AWS Certification required: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or Solutions Architect Professional

Experience in Python would be an added advantage

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field​​​​

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000.00 - $165,300.00.
