Position Description:
Our project is in need of an experienced QA Automation Engineer to guide our journey to full test automation (unit, functional, regression, performance, etc). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing a test automation framework, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure product quality. You will drive the overall solution, work closely with the team to build the framework and test automation process/tools, and to improve the overall testing process.
This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create test plans.
Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure product quality.
Report and track bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues.
Continuously improve the automation framework and test coverage.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in test automation.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Groovy.
Proficiency with tools such as Apache Jmeter, Selenium, SoapUI, Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $60,300.00 - $133,500.00.
