Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Sr. DevOps Engineer (UCD, AWS) to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations. Due to the current COVID-19 status, candidates will not be required to work within the physical work location at this time. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, they will be required to be located within the proximity of the assigned CGI location.

Join a fast paced agile team cloud technologies. CGI is seeking a strong DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Urban Code Deploy (UCD) and strong technical background.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

This person should be familiar with devsecops practices and methodologies and integrating custom apps with enterprise tools, such as Urban Code Deploy, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitHub/GitLab. Urban Code Deploy (UCD) experience is a must. ​

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Hands-on experience in building application CI/CD pipeline usin Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy (UCD) and GitHub/GitLab

• 6 months to 1 year experience with Urban Code Deploy (UCD) is a must

• Should be hands on with application build automation tool Maven/Gradle

• Experience in writing Groovy/Python Scripts for executing commands on GitHub/GitLab/Jenkins for build/deploying application

• Experience in working with application Git/BitBucket - branching strategy

• Experience in using Sonar for continuous inspection of application code to detect bugs, code smells and security vulnerabilities

• Experience in using Nexus Artifact repository & Component lifecycle management for given application

• Experience in automating application deployments, some exposure to application deployment to AWS Infrastructure

• Experience with full SDLC lifecycle, taking from Dev to Release

• Experience with Urban Code Deployment (UCD)

• Excellent communication, and documentation skills

• Professional demeanor

• AWS hands-on experience required

Desired qualifications

​​​• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is nice to have


​Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field​

AWS Solution Architect Associate or Developer Associate certification desired​
