Your future duties and responsibilities:

FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Junior Business Analyst will need to be able to learn and understand the business processes within the Banking industry. Ultimately, the business analyst team will represent the business’ interest on all technology and business process related efforts that include define data management capabilities by roles, data inventory, metadata definitions and data quality rules by domain. A Junior Business Analyst will work on historical data project and must have experience analyzing data, looking for historic data trends, and building data queries. The business analyst team will also be required to outline technology design to implement data governance, data sourcing, DataMart architecture, data quality validation and reporting.

• Provide project level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (requirements, use cases, current and future state analysis)

• Facilitate team and client meetings effectively to gather and document requirements, drive user feedback and QA testing to completion of project

• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements, and ensure the technical solution meets the business needs

• Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epic stories into user stories and acceptance criteria that can be understood and approved by members of the scrum team

• Data analysis and business intelligence skills - proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and reporting

• Understanding of typical data flows through IT infrastructure and SDLC

• Very strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

• Self-motivator with great attention to detail and follow through

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Key Items we will be looking for

• 2+ years business analyst experience

• At least 1-2 years of experience in the information technology and/or financial services industry

• Demonstrated performance excellence with a track record of success on Business Intelligence/Advanced analytics projects

• Experience in all facets of project lifecycle; strong comprehension of project management methodologies such as Agile

• Experience in big data, advanced analytics, machine learning

• Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time appropriately
