Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Business Analyst/Consultant III will provide technical assistance and consultation for a human services application.

Supports the overall planning, development, testing, implementation, and support of an application.

Responsible for analyzing business requirements for the development of technical requirements resulting in a new feature or enhancement.

Works with the vendor to define and develop detailed specifications and designs for system development.

Work with stakeholders to define and develop applications to support business processes. Duties include developing and executing system test plans, evaluation of system effectiveness, documentation review, ongoing application training, creation of training documents, and technical support.

Will have major responsibility for the review and analysis of changes, including detailed specifications for programming staff, developing test criteria, and post implementation evaluation.

Duties will also include analysis of business flow for all aspects of Child Protective Services and reporting requirements to the Federal Government to document for future automation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


Key Items we will be looking for are:

• A business analyst with at least 2 years of SACWIS or other large Child Welfare IT systems experience

• Demonstrated performance with a track record of success in human services industry

• Experience in all facets of project lifecycle

• Experience in system analysis, design and testing

• Experience supporting an application help desk

• Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time appropriately

• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication skills

• Ability to respond quickly and efficiently while understanding and interpreting automated child welfare application user needs

• High level technical aptitude and analytical skills as they relate to child welfare functionality and workflow

• High level interpersonal skills and customer service oriented experience and proficiency

Develop use case scenarios - 8 years

Understanding of project management methodologies and experience with "Waterfall"" and ""Agile" - 8 years

Ability to navigate and query a relational database - 5 years
