Candidate will join an established team that provides application maintenance services for a parking ticket computer system (STARS). The system is a 30-year old legacy COBOL/ADABAS mainframe system developed in the 1980’s, supporting approximately 1,500 users and consisting of over 2,000 online and batch programs. It tracks the issuance of over 10 million tickets each year, generates nearly 10 million collection notices annually, and supports the collection and enforcement strategies, such as registration suspension, booting and towing, and external collections of default judgment debt. The system requires ongoing maintenance to meet the dynamic needs of the client. Candidate will work on-site at the client’s location in downtown Manhattan, and interact daily with members of the organization.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• System problem investigation/troubleshooting.
• Gathering and documenting requirements.
• Preparing functional documentation.
• Developing testing plans.
• Performing data analysis.
• Interfacing daily with clients.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in business analytics, with a focus on gathering and documenting project requirements. Position also involves supporting the project manager in team and client management activities. Strong communication, organizational, and client facing skills are required.
