Position Description:

CGI is seeking a seasoned professional to join our growing team working with State and Local business areas through end to end solution offerings and professional services. The successful candidate must be able to work in a cross-functional environment and interact with representatives from CGI, and our end-clients. This member will work at various CGI / clients, consulting and executing various State and Local business and IT initiatives from road map assessment, architecture, best practice, phase implementations, and go live.

We are a rapidly growing business unit in the Eastern United States State and Local market and are looking to increase the capabilities of our State and Local organizations. We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to interact with other CGI State and Local focused professionals to help drive growth in the US State and Local sector, targeting key government clients in the US East Business Unit.

This role will be performed remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic with an eventual transition to working from the CGI office. This role will work on opportunities primarily in New York and New Jersey.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Director, Consulting Expert, State and Local Practice leader will help to develop a practice and pipeline for technology and IP business within a targeted portfolio of accounts and territory, manage State and Local solutions and associated services, establish and maintain senior relationships in key clients, and work with CGI business experts to help expand broader State and Local growth.

Summary of Duties:

• Develop expertise of the clients’ business, organization and culture.

• Engage in complex deals.

• Influence internal and external CGI stakeholders to prioritize winning sales strategies.

• Work with product managers and solutions consultants to propose the most likely to win approach.

• Coach existing business developers and delivery teams as required supporting goals.

• Problem solving issues and providing recommend solutions.

• Identify and prioritize emerging technologies to solve for clients’ existing business needs.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required:

  • 5+ years as Solution Architect or similar role

  • State and Local government procurement experience

  • Systems Integration experience and related technologies

  • Ability to work on their own and as part of a team

  • Excellent written/oral communications skills

  • Ability to interact with both Business & Technical teams

  • Ability to interact with and present to Senior Management stakeholders from both CGI and clients

Nice to Haves

  • ERP experience

  • Salesforce experience

  • Pega experience

  • AWS experience

  • Data Modeling

  • Reporting/Analytics

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited academic institution. A Master’s or other advanced degrees/relevant certifications are preferred.

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $120,000-$150,000*
