Position Description:

CGI is seeking a seasoned solution architect to join our growing team supporting life science clients through end to end solution offerings and professional services. The successful candidate must be able to work in a cross-functional environment and interact with representatives from CGI, and our end-clients. This member will work at various CGI/ clients consulting and executing various life science business and IT initiatives from road map assessment architecture best practice phase implementations, and go live.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

CGI Life Sciences is seeking a Solution Architect to join our rapidly growing consulting team. As Solution Architect, you’ll meet with clients to assess their business challenges and work with them to determine the best path towards recognizing their goals utilizing Technology Solutions. To perform successfully in this role, you’ll be a master of designing the complex, purposeful interactions between business processes and the technologies that enable those processes to function at maximum optimization. You’re a data-driven, collaborative team member that believes in accountability and focuses on establishing the best technology solution to meet specific business needs in the areas of applications, hardware, or infrastructure services. The following skills and experience are required at a minimum.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years’ of relevant consulting or industry experience.

• Core consulting skills namely, conceptual and critical thinking. Must possess a solutions focused perspective.

• Must be a problem solver adept in conflict resolution.

• Experienced at conducting client presentations.

• 5+ years’ experience in gathering and translating requirements into optimized designs. Uses business process design techniques.

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment and mentor junior analysts.

• Knowledge of software development life cycle and common SDLC methodologies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Specialty Knowledge areas:

• Life Sciences – R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial and Supply Chain.

Specialized Business and Technology areas:

• Process Analysis & Optimization (R&D / Clinical / Regulatory)

• Change Management

• Data Migration

• Knowledge Management


• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
