Position Description:

CGI Federal’s Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) seeks a highly motivated Cybersecurity expert to lead a rapidly growing team of Red Team operators and Application Security Engineers supporting governance, risk, and compliance consulting services to include security service delivery to Federal government clients. You will collaborate with a variety of technical and management disciplines including infrastructure and security architecture, security operations, application development, project managers, product owners, and others.

This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S. If located within 50 miles of a CGI Federal office, you will be required to be in office 2 days per week.

The Red Team Director will be responsible for leading ethical hacking and penetration tests of CGI and client environments to include both physical and logical security controls and systems. This includes supporting web application security assessments such as DAST, SAST, API testing and development of new capabilities and services as new technologies emerge.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Perform Red Teaming and System Assessment within Client Environments

• Administratively lead a team of Application Security Engineers who support web application security assessments such as DAST, SAST, API testing and development of new capabilities.

• Lead and participate in aspects of Cyber Development and Operational Consultancy: Malware Assessment, Red Teaming, Penetration Testing, and Hunt Methods.

• Perform network, wireless, web application, and API penetration testing.

• Collaborate with a team of Cyber Professionals in support of a unified Mission to uncover technical threats and protect critical networks

• Conduct Phishing, Red Team Adversary Simulations/Emulation.

• Develop exploits/payloads to be used in red team operations.

• Participate in physical red team engagements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of professional experience in cyber security or related field

• Proven technical task management experience

• Physical Penetration testing experience

• 3+ years of exploit development and or reverse engineering .

• Technical knowledge or experience developing in house scripting, using interpreted languages such as Ruby, Python, or Perl, compiled languages such as C, C++, C#, or Java experience

• Hands on experience with one or more of the following tools (or comparable tool): Nessus, Burp, ZAP, Fortify, OWASP Dependency Check, Webinspect, AppDetective, etc.

• Experience within US Cyber Operational Groups, practicing: Red Teaming, Network Forensics, and general Cyber threat analysis

• 3+ years of Information Security experience in cloud-based environments (Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) in both private and public (AWS, Azure) environments) and in one or more of the following verticals: network penetration testing, application penetration testing, Red Team operations, application security assessments, and network exploitation operations.

• Experience with technologies (i.e. Cobalt Strike, Metasploit, Kali, Commando, Shodan, Nessus, Nmap) commonly used in Red Teaming exercises

• Strong practical knowledge of common exploitation methodologies, system scanning, surveys, and network topology

• At least 1 of the following exploit development certifications: OSCE, OSEE, OSWE, GXPN.

• At least one of the following penetration testing, Red Team certifications: OSEP, OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, CRTO, CRTP

• Advanced understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems internals

• Ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Links to public research and/or white papers

• Published CVE’s

Github/Gitlab of tools if applicable

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200.00 - $240,600.00.
