Position Description:

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI! CGI is seeking a Data Conversion Scripter to support our Public Sector client from our Richmond, VA office.

You will be working with a dynamic team across 2-3 locations in support of this effort.

Some light travel may be required

Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to Richmond, VA or willing to relocate with some assistance.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Data Conversion Scripter will develop, test, and implement the migration scripts that are needed to support the target solution. Legacy source systems will include mostly Oracle and MS SQL based systems.

Will leverage his or her experience of working on prior Data Migration / Conversion to help define the ETL processes, data rules and data quality/standardization logic that needs to be applied during Data Migration.

Will also lead and mentor junior team members.

Understand data migration requirements, create/update source-to-target mappings, and develop migration processes in a dynamic and fast paced environment on an Agile Kanban team.

Understanding how Waterfall and Agile Development process works is preferred.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• PL/SQL scripting

• Develop data queries for analyzing source data

• Data extraction, transformation and load scripting

• Strong knowledge of database development and utilities (TOAD/SQL PLUS)

• Knowledge of ETL tools preferably SAP Data Services

Additional Preferred:

Strong ETL and database development skills

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other applicable field
