Position Description:
CGI, a Summit-level Salesforce Implementation Partner, is seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to join our Richmond, VA team. The Salesforce Technical Architect will rely on their deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and experience to help guide the creation of solutions for CGI’s Salesforce customer base. We will work together to understand our client’s business needs and help deliver value through technology using Salesforce. You'll be responsible for leading the end to end application system development and maintenance on large complex enterprise wide technology platforms.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
How you will make an impact:
Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business.
Prioritize projects and make trade-offs with respect to the enterprise systems changes based on broader business needs.
Understands the entire architecture for a major part of our business and is able to articulate the scaling and reliability limits.
Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary.
Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort.
May participates in developing the multi-year technology strategy for critical areas of the business that may encompass multiple systems.
Partners with technical and non technical stakeholder to identify the long term technical trajectory of the technology infrastructure.
Creates architecture and anticipates future technology needs.
Leads the conversations internally about the direction of major areas of the technology, drives wide-team consensus to the adoption of this direction, and uses this direction when engaging engineers.
Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.
Reviews and monitors initiatives for end to end impact and coordination.
Participates in review and decision making for enterprise solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study a minimum of
9 years experience; multi dimensional platform experience, expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
4+ years Salesforce experience
Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:
Extensive knowledge in salesforce both Sales Cloud & Service Cloud (Certified in Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Platform Developer II)
Strong in Salesforce Integration using REST and SOAP API. Should be able to integrate external, 3rd party systems with Salesforce using web services
In depth knowledge in Salesforce industries Vlocity omnistudio mandatory (Data Raptors, OmniScript, Integration Procedures, Flex Cards, Vlocity Industry Data Models etc.)
Experience configuring DocuSign and Conga Composer for document generation
Experience in the Web Applications Development using JavaScript, Typescript,jQuery, Angular JS, Angular2/4/6/8/10 and JSON
Excellent Client facing and good communication skills. Conducting Business Process Review
Onshore-Offshore Coordination
Experience mentoring others drive teams to achieve results, lead multiple or large projects and provide troubleshooting supports strongly preferred.
Multi database and/or multi language strongly preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $75,600 - $209,200.
