CGI is looking for a business analyst with retail banking experience to join our implementation team building the next generation of banking technology working with all levels of our client organization.

Future duties and responsibilities

• Information Analyst combines 3 roles

• Business Analyst

• Data & System Analyst

• Test Analyst

• Responsibilities: This professional will:

• Work with experienced ZB employees, (from 10-15 departments who know the procedures and activities they do to support our banking customers (consumer and commercial/treasury), to understand and document the purpose and description of a series of operational reports.

• Responsible to document full business & technical requirements, including mapping fields from the UI or the reporting database

• Understand field values (via data profiling)

• Support the development process, and then test the report (prior to presenting it to the business customer for approval)

• To be successful you will

o Analyze, review, and evaluate data

o Work with the Universe Designer and Report Developer to transfer your knowledge

o Understand data requirements, filters, and detailed report specifications

o Research and resolve issues

o Perform your own testing to ensure each report makes business sense before presenting it to your business partner for final sign-off.

o Present the report to business customers

o Take ownership of issues through resolution including close coordination between various teams (data migration, product, etc.)

• Provide thought leadership – strategic to tactical

• Communicate and facilitate clearly with stakeholders and business owners

• Champion ideas and sell them to others

• Work independently in a team environment to complete needed assignments

• Prepare statuses, update automated tracking tools (Azure Dev Ops) and reports as needed

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Requires a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or another related field

• SQL for data profiling, and strong knowledge for navigating databases to support reporting

• Ability to gather and determine business needs from users and translate to report specifications including recommending additional report attributes.

• 4+ years’ experience in business analysis, project management, multiple technologies, frameworks, processes, application, etc. or other directly related experience preferred

• Agile experience (SAFe methodology preferred)

• Some banking knowledge preferred

• Data, system, or platform migration experience preferred

• Requires strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

• Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and employees

• Strong knowledge and experience querying and analyzing large data sets using Microsoft SQL, Excel, and statistical analysis programs

• Highly motivated individual and a self-starter

• Able to prioritize and manage time effectively

• Working knowledge of data structures, experience with operational data stores and/or enterprise data warehouses preferred

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Initiative and ability to take ownership of assigned deliverables

• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO) tools

• A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

*Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $56K-$100K
