Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator to work in our San Diego, CA location. The successful candidate will provide support for Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES) and operational support to Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center (SSC) Pacific.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES) Systems Administrator:- Install and maintain CANES infrastructure in support of Integration Engineering efforts.- Provide installation IT support for CANES systems, including Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, RHEL, and other OSes.- Monitor for and perform software/IA updates.- Perform troubleshooting and break/fix support during fast-paced test events.- Create user and computer accounts.- Provide support for deploying workstation and server images and configuring against the provided baseline.- Utilize VMware and Microsoft HyperV solutions to manage Virtual Machines.- Update Cisco network switch templates.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.- Knowledgeable in supporting Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES).- Experience with general IT support and strong troubleshooting skills.- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.- Experience with Cisco network equipment and knowledge of TCI/IP networking theory and implementation.- Experience with Virtualized Environments (VMware ESX, Microsoft HyperV).- Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)- DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II.- Secret Clearance is required to begin employment; US citizenship is required.- Ability to successfully complete drug testing based on contract requirements.- Self-motivator with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.- Professional oral and written presentation skills.- Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
