Position Description:

CGI Federal’s Housing Compliance team that partners with a local public housing authority and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist in the provision of affordable housing has an opening for a Program Assistant. This is an opportunity to join an energetic team with a collaborative management group and work with affordable housing owners and management companies within an assigned portfolio of properties. New team members receive in-depth training to prepare them for their role. Additional training and professional development opportunities are also available, both for the affordable housing industry and general business skills.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support (filing, emailing, and data entry) for a team in the CGI Federal Tampa, FL location. In addition, the candidate will assist property owners with their monthly payment requests as well as their claims for reimbursement from HUD. The candidate will use CGI’s propriety IT systems as well as the Microsoft Office Suite to accomplish day-to-day tasks

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support for members located in the Tampa, FL office;

• Monitor, record, and disseminate mail and email correspondence for the team members;

• Schedule and organize meetings, record meeting minutes as needed;

• Ensure office supplies are organized and replaced as needed;

• Assist team management with annual document management and retention procedures;

• Perform detailed reconciliation of monthly voucher payments to property owners as assigned;

• Evaluate and approve owner’s claims for reimbursement due to unpaid rent, tenant damages and vacancies as assigned

• Maintain positive relations with owners, residents and their representatives, neighborhood groups and local governments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

• High school diploma, or relevant experience in lieu of education.

• Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Desire to work in a team environment.

• Proven ability to accurately and timely complete tasks within the established timelines and quality standards.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated and proactive.

Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule is 800AM to 5:00PM, subject to change based upon client needs.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

• 3-5 years of administrative support experience.
