CGI Federal has a mission critical opening for an Anti-Submarine Warfare Systems Level Engineer to support the NAVSEA HQ program office.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Assist with systems engineering and project planning support for a NAVSEA HQ program office. Requires a systems engineer to support anti-submarine warfare program. Need someone who is ready to work in fast pace team environment with growing requirements. Position provides direct support for a major ASW combat system which delivers advanced technology developments to U.S. Navy Surface and Submarine platforms. Position requires attention to details with the ability to review engineering specifications and system designs, program schedules, detailed spreadsheets, financials, and technical related information to support customers in the execution of programs. Candidate will participate in routine project management meetings to assist with process improvements and documentation for software system design, requirements generation, cost estimating, planning and documentation, risk mitigation, and tracking documentation and action items. Position requires analytical and strategic project management skills to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the working group level.
Applicant should have the general ability to accept and perform responsibilities and work assigned tasks as a project team member in support of the overall project. Applicant should also have the ability to lead and direct the activities and resources of smaller assigned projects and provide strategic input to the customers. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent organizational skills, the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers and the ability to work independently and take a proactive role.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
At least 5 years of DOD Systems Engineering knowledge
Project Management experience
Strong Communication Skills
Efficiency with Microsoft Products
Information Systems, Industrial Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering Degree
NAVY Submarine and/or Surface ASW operations or NAVSEA knowledge and experience
