Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal! CGI is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support a DHS customer in Washington, DC.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Defines provisions for configuration management planning, identification, improvement, change control, status accounting and audits.
Plans, identifies and maintains the original and current configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software and related documentation.
Regulates the change process and conducts configuration audits.
Supports the quality assurance process audits.
Able to execute configuration management strategy as outlined in the projects CMP.
Analyze current CM processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement to the government.
Support the project office in updating the CMP to conform to Commandant Instructions and documenting configuration processes.
A written report detailing findings and recommendations shall be provided as required by the Circular Of Requirements COR (PWS Section 7.0, Item #8).
The FRC project office uses Multi-User Engineering Change Proposal Automated Review System (MEARS) and SFLC Central for the coordination of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
CM specialist shall have demonstrated experience with these tools and be able to use these systems.
Shall support the project office with the execution and management of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) in accordance with the CMP. This task shall include supporting the change control and adjudication processes by tracking ECPs, compiling and loading ECPs and supporting documentation into MEARS and or SFLC Central, supporting CCB data calls and support for the planning and execution of all CCB meetings.
The CCB will meet periodically as ECPs are submitted and require adjudication by the FRC project office. This task shall also include periodic review of the CCB Charter and providing recommendations to the Government.
CM Specialist shall support the project office in evaluating the Shipbuilders application and adherence to its Configuration Management Plan and provide recommendations for improved practices to the government.
Shall support the project office in the review of monthly Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) submittals and other CM reports and submit recommendations to the government with respect to accuracy and completeness. Shall support the planning and execution of configuration audits, validations and data calls.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 5-9 years of relevant work experience with configuration management.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent organizational skills, the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers and the ability to work independently and take a proactive role.
Experience working with USCG vessels is preferred but not required.
