CGI Federal is seeking a Data Analyst to support the COPS division in DC.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Data Analyst will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of data; suggest and develop reporting solutions and analytic methodologies for improved data collection; mine data from primary and secondary sources; clean and prune data to discard irrelevant information; pinpoint trends, correlations, and patterns in complicated data sets. Will analyze and interpret results using standard statistical tools and techniques; provide concise data reports and clear data visualization for management. Will work directly with Supervisory Senior Policy Analyst to identify analytical requirements. The Data Analyst will assist federal staff in the analysis of data within grant-related materials and systems, grant applications, grant management functions (e.g., extensions, modifications), progress reporting and grant (award) closeouts. The Data Analyst must link analysis with performance reporting. The Data Analyst will coordinate closely with Communication Division staff to complete email BLAST notifications to COPS stakeholders and perform other database administrative tasks as needed in support of Grant Operations and Community Policing Advancement Directorates. The Data Analyst will be a liaison with COPS IT and JustGrants OJP IT as necessary to pull data and must be familiar with DOJ Data Management, Reporting and Analytics (DMRA), the JustGrants Performance Management Repository, and statistical analysis packages (e.g. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences[SPSS]).
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must have an intermediate to a high level of expertise with Microsoft Suites, mainly Excel and Access.
All candidates will need to pass a CGI Federal Background investigation, and obtain a DOJ MRPT clearance.
