CGI is seeking a Network Security Analyst/Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to provide network monitoring and management support services at a Government Agency. Candidate will be part of a team of network security engineers, technical engineers, and security analysts providing support for a large federal agency. Candidate will be responsible for supporting the Government in Assessment & Authorization (A&A) accreditation activities and processes, supporting intrusion detection and prevention functions in collaboration with Government network teams, monitoring and supporting vendor security policy management activities to ensure adherence to Government policy and overarching controls and report findings, and assisting the Government in oversight of the TICAP/MTIPS services provided by the vendor.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
o Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
• Support Government oversight of A&A activities.
• Develop contingency and incident response plans for Government review and approval, to ensure continuity of service operations.
• Review and provide recommendations to the Government on security documents.
• Execute annual contingency test plans and conduct disaster recovery exercises.
• Assist the Government in validating A&A control evidence and artifacts provided by the MSP vendor and provide findings to Government for further action.
o Network Security Policy Management
• Assist Government with the development & periodic review of network security policies.
• Maintain and review the security policy change templates, as required by Government, and provide changes to Government for approval.
• Assist vendor and Government with escalated troubleshooting issues related to network policy.
• Provide guidance to Components on Network Security Policy Best Practices.
o Intrusion Detection
• Assist the vendor and Government with the periodic review of IDS signature sets.
• Maintain and review IDS signature templates associated with assigned project, as required, and provide findings to Government for further action.
• Assist with escalated troubleshooting service-impacting incidents related to IDS systems and controls.
o TICAP/MTIPS Management
• Assist the Government with oversight of MSP managed TICAP/MTIPS services and infrastructure.
• Analyze design and configuration change proposals to ensure operational stability and compliance with Government negotiated requirements. Report findings to Government for further action.
• Develop Component customer solution designs for their review and approval.
• Support security control compliance audits and vulnerability assessment penetration tests by both internal and external auditors.
• Review and analyze vendor-provided reports for SLA-compliance with security metrics and provide findings and recommendations to Government for further action.
o Security Activity
• Collaborate with Government on security planning, incident management and proactive security exercises.
• Assist the Government in coordination and oversight of the annual MSP 27 Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Tests, in collaboration with security teams.
• Experience working with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) accreditation activities and processes.
• Experience developing and periodic reviewing of network security policies.
• Experience troubleshooting issues related to network policy.
• Experience executing technical plans and providing technical advisory services.
• Experience managing TICAP/MTIPS service and infrastructure.
• Experience with security planning, incident management and proactive security exercises.
• Strong analytic thinking skills.
• Strong writing skills and prior experience developing agendas, minutes, presentations, and briefing materials
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated network security analysis and technical issue resolution experience is required. This individual shall have at least 5 years’ experience successfully participating with similar projects in the public sector. Experience working in IT and WAN/LAN, Voice/VoIP, TIC/MTIPS and/or Cybersecurity Technology experience and IT/Network project experience. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,300 - $127,700.
